they met

Winds roar, thunders explodes,
light electrocutes the dark hole,
The sky and mind engage in a riot,
as reminiscing her love, she stands quiet.
Marooned along the quest of the unknown,
abandoned by her very own, she is alone.

In a battle to survive,
she struggles to strive.
She tries to scream, but
speech lacks voice.
She yearns to see, but
vision is deprived of  sight.
Hurriedly she tries to run,
as speed loses flight.
Helplessly she cries, but sobs
perish in the silence of noise.

Fear creeps in, as she
mightily fights scare.
Desperately she thinks,
but her mind lies bare.
Attempting to break free,
she begs for clement.
“Help me” she pleads as
she slips away from herself.

Unarmed to fend, no one to defend,
every road trudged leads to a dead end.
Hope has diminished,
Perseverance relinquished.
Loneliness is tired…….
She wants to sleep, but only on meeting
him will she attain peace.
Wearily she lies down, ready to die.
can’t yet believe that life is such a lie.

Eyes closed, with bated breath,
she hears her heart beat against her chest.
Her fate is sealed, her end is met,
‘He’ has arrived, she surrenders herself.
It’s an immortal meet of two souls,
as ultimately ‘She’ meets her love, death.

  1. Hey Richa! What are u doing at Oberoi. You should be sitting beside the likes of Pritish Nandy and releasing your book of poems at the hands of Shashi Tharoor. This is a different side of you. Very proud of you. Luv u always
